Mount Holly Farmers Market

Mount Holly Farmers Market

Their Mission: The Mount Holly Farmers Market was started by the Mount Holly Community Development Foundation in 2006. We are the largest all volunteer market in North Carolina. The market focuses on supporting local small farms, educating our community on the advantages of eating fresh local food, and teaching our community to grow their own food.  An important distinction that the Mount Holly Farmer’s market has from its surrounding markets is that produce, specifically, is local and seasonal. Out of season produce is not allowed at the market and a farm vendor must grow at least 75% (some are even 100%) of what they sell. Vendor farms are frequently visited throughout the year to ensure this distinction stays intact. You will find a community that is engaged in the market and a market that is engaged in the community!
