Mount Holly City Manager Miles Braswell Announces His Departure

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mount Holly, NC: Miles Braswell has announced that he will be leaving his role as the City Manager of Mount Holly and will be accepting the City Manager position in neighboring Belmont. 

Miles Braswell has 22 years of local and state government experience, previously working for the City of Charlotte and Gaston County Schools before joining the administrative staff of the City of Mount Holly in 2014. He was promoted to Assistant City Manager in 2016 and City Manager in 2020.

“We are fortunate to have had someone with Miles’ experience to lead the City during his tenure as City Manager. The Council and I thank Miles for serving the City of Mount Holly for the past 9 years. His dedication to Mount Holly is evident in the leadership of our departments. We wish Miles the best and support him in his new endeavor in his hometown!” says Mayor Bryan Hough. 

Mount Holly City Council will meet in the upcoming days to plan the recruiting process that will fill the vacant City Manager role. 

 “It has been an honor to be Mount Holly’s City Manager, and I have been fortunate to work with such a great City staff as well as to serve the citizens, the Mayor, and City Council,” said Miles Braswell. “I am grateful for my time here and what we have been able to accomplish together.”
