The Goal: Developing and implementing a program with the goal of preventing or reducing pollutant runoff from municipal operations. The program must include municipal staff training on pollution prevention measures and techniques (e.g. regular street sweeping, reduction in the use of pesticides or street salt, or frequent catch-basin cleaning).
The City of Mount Holly conducts numerous activities that can pose a possible threat to water quality if practices and procedures are not in place to prevent pollutants from entering the drainage system. These activities include winter road maintenance, minor road repairs, and other infrastructure work, automobile fleet maintenance, landscaping and park maintenance, and building maintenance.
Our goal is to implement an operation and maintenance program with the goal of preventing or reducing pollutant runoff from municipal operations.
