Hydrant testing is a vital component of our commitment to public safety. By conducting regular tests, we can identify and address any issues that may affect the performance of fire hydrants in emergency situations. This proactive approach helps to safeguard our community and ensure that our firefighters have access to a dependable water supply when responding to fires or other emergencies.

During the testing process, residents may notice temporary discoloration in their tap water. This is a common occurrence and poses no health risks. However, we advise residents to avoid using discolored water for laundry to prevent potential staining.

We understand that the annual hydrant testing may cause minor inconveniences, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to maintain the integrity of our firefighting and water utilities infrastructure. The safety and well-being of our residents remain our top priority, and we are dedicated to ensuring that Mount Holly remains a secure and resilient community.
